Monoprints - A thin layer of ink is rolled onto a sheet of perspex which can then be masked out and scraped into to create a variety of marks. Paper is placed over the perspex and using hard pressure combined with drawing on the reverse of the paper the ink is transferred from the shiny perspex surface onto the more absorbent paper. This process is repeated with other colours using different thicknesses of ink and viscosity to build rich images of a painterly nature.
Mixed Media Prints - Combining several techniques in one print - mostly relief, monoprint and intaglio processes. The print is put through the press several times using various plates. The base is often monoprint or cardboard relief to define larger areas then an intaglio plate, collagraph or drypoint is printed over the top.
