Using a variety of mediums Chris produces semi abstract images reflecting on the natural landscape familiar to him. His sense of colour and instinctive mark making allows him, through the use of simple abstracted forms, colour and line, to construct and reflect upon a real scene or journey. 

The process of collagraph printmaking combined with monoprinting enables him to construct an image, developing its textures and shape at each stage of the printing and he is always happy for the unpredictable nature of this handmade process to produce images where no one is identical.

Through the use of a digital process, Chris has had the opportunity to explore an exciting new medium. Sections of the original prints and drawings are taken as scans and collaged through the latest image manipulation software to form new compositions and are produced as limited edition digital prints.
