Attended the Open Access Print Studio run by Sue Baker and did some monoprints using sheets of PVC and etching inks. Good to get back to some hands-on print work after a summer of mainly painting. Trying a new direction of urban landscape images abstracted from drawings and photographs taken around local car parks. A very spontaneous method of monoprinting using rollers, paint brushes masking and scraping back into areas of the ink. Ink thinned with extender base and linseed oil, printed on Japanese paper with the etching press. Created some interesting marks as base prints, intend to develop them with further overprinting.
